Johnson County's Soil Health Program

Johnson County is accepting applications for participation in the Soil Health Program.

Homeowners in University Heights can be reimbursed up to 50 percent of the cost ($2,000 maximum) for completing soil quality restoration, which involves deep-tine aeration and compost application. The program aim is to restore soil quality and increase the ability of lawns to absorb water, reducing runoff into streams.

Those who wish to participate must be pre-approved by the County and use a contractor from a pre-approved list.
