Golf carts operated in University Heights must have yearly inspections and permits issued by the University Heights Police Department.
- Only residents of University Heights may obtain permits and operate golf carts.
- Golf carts may be operated on streets and alleys (not sidewalks) between sunrise and sunset.
- Operation of golf carts for hire (charging for rides) is prohibited.
- Permits are available starting January 1 and expire on December 31 yearly.

Fees
- The permit fee is $25.
- Permits are valid for one calendar year, January 1 through December 31.
- Cash, checks, and credit/debit cards are accepted.
